Set up to record Harmonica for the new album at my favorite camp spot near Tonopah, Nevada. The breath of a storm was blowing in over the Sierra Nevada. Soon after this the wind intensified and it began raining. So I bundled the recording gear and headed for the hot spring. Not to be thwarted, I recorded the bubbling of the hot spring for an hour. Look for a post with the audio soon.

Working on welding in a patch in Vincent in Nevada City where I store my welder
Working on welding in a patch in Vincent in Nevada City where I store my welder. I found a fender from a 18 wheeler in the desert last year. It’s made of just the right gauge stainless steel, so I’m using that for my patches.(new piece cut out on left) Thanks to Zack for the Coooooozie keeping my beer cold. (can’t take all this molten metal stuff tooo seriously)
I thought of making some sort of jewelry things from the old piece of steel, any ideas?

Chicken Hot Springs, Surprise Valley, CA
Chicken Hot Springs, Surprise Valley, CA. Water was too hot to touch, and I had to re-dig the pool, let it fill then let it cool for about 2 hours before it was ready.
